Resumo:

Richard Dadier  é um professor que acaba de chegar a uma escola com graves problemas de indisciplina e violência. Dadier é um professor ingénuo e cheio de ideais acerca do ensino, mas vai viver uma dilacerante experiência sobre o sistema escolar de Nova York, onde a delinquência e a indisciplina são constantes. Este Filme é uma real visão acerca do que foi a juventude de 1950.
