• 1998 - PHD in Philosophy of Education by the Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa, with the Dissertation: "Unity of Science and Disciplinary Configuration of Knowledge". 
• 2009 - Agregation in History and Philosophy of Science by the University of Lisbon, with a lesson "Tasks for the Philosophy of Science in the XXI century".
