Okay, I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but in case you didn't go there yourself, here it is anyway, based on a short visit: it's a very nice museum, worth a visit from anywhere (well, almost...), with lots of sections (from classical china and american first nations (what are they gonna invent next??) thru natural history to classical mediteranean civs) but waaay too crowded with stuff (even more than usual, if you know what I mean). I particularly liked the Egyptian section. Oh, do yourself a favor and avoid the shop (although it's not as bad as the Art Gallery's).
Last but not least, let me thank the ROM for their generous policy of allowing people to take pictures of their exhibits. The lighting is bad, reflexions from the glass often distract from even viewing, but at least they let you try.
